To facilitate the word-leading research at the University of Exeter we run a number of institutional projects that contribute to national discussions and encourage interdisciplinary working.

Completed projects

Bridging the Gaps (BtG) BtG was a three year projects to encourage interdisciplinary working across the University of Exeter. BTG funded 68 projects and held more than 80 events. It was supported with £600,000 of funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
Catalyst project - public engagement The Catalyst project supported academics at all stages in their career and across all disciplines and campuses to involve the public and encourage people to take part in Exeter research. We helped our academics to share their research through talks and discussions, by contributing to advisory panels, helping communities overcome their challenges, listening to patients and service-user groups, collaborating on exhibitions and developing materials for use in schools.

DESCRIBE was a collaborative project looking at how we provide definitions and capture the evidence of research impact. The project culminated in the Future of Impact conference which provided recommendations for universities, research funders and those who enable research.
