Accepted for publication?

Take these steps to ensure you meet the open access requirements of the University of ExeterREF 2021 and your funder of research.

  1. Acknowledge funding in your publication, including grant references.
  2. Include a data access statement.
  3. Upload the accepted manuscript upon (within three months of) acceptance via Symplectic to ORE.
  4. Check your funder open access requirements and consider publishing with paid open access, if required.
  5. Submit an open access funding request to apply to the UKRI/RCUK, COAF or Institutional APC Fund.
  6. Select licence (in compliance with funder) and ensure deposit to funder designated repository, if required.

 

ORCiD IDs are now mandatory for some funders and publishers and are likely to be compulsory for the next REF. Register for and use your ORCiD as a persistent digital identifier distinguishing you from every other researcher.
