Quality assurance

Research and Knowledge Transfer (RKT) provides central support for:

We work in partnership with academics and external organisations on projects which will have demonstrable impacts on the economy, policy, and culture.

To ensure Research and Knowledge Transfer maintains its awareness for continuous improvement, the quality system, processes and procedures are regularly reviewed and subject to an annual ISO audit. The ISO is maintained by the International Standardisation Organisation and administered by accreditation.

Some of the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008 include:

  • A set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business.
  • Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective; keeping adequate records.
  • Checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary.
  • Regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness.
  • Facilitating continual improvement.

Customer service is an essential part of the quality process and to ensure this is fulfilled, all employees are aware of quality and its impact on customer service.
