Gail Seymour

Research Integrity and Reputational Risk Manager

Role

Gail takes a corporate-wide responsibility for all aspects of research integrity and ethics, reviewing and developing governance and processes in line with legislative changes and best practice.

She acts as a point of contact for advice and guidance on all associated matters.

She takes an overview of reputational risk across the institution, developing and implementing appropriate policies and protocols for review.

Gail is the Secretary to the University Ethics Committee and the Ethical Review Group and is also the University’s Home Office Liaison Officer.

She acts as the University signatory taking overall responsibility as the institutional sponsor for NHS Ethics applications, leading the University’s work on compliance with NHS Ethics requirements.

Profile

Gail joined Research and Knowledge Transfer in June 2012 having previously worked as an Assistant College Manager in the College of Life and Environmental Sciences and, from July 2006 until July 2010, as School Manager in the School of Psychology.
