Deputy Director of Research and Knowledge Transfer
Role
Lee leads the College facing Research and Knowledge Transfer (RKT) Teams and has specific project responsibilities for the Science Strategy and Environment and Sustainability Institute.
He and his team work closely with College Managers and their teams to support the integration of systems and targets following on from the creation of Colleges.
He is also responsible for developing our research systems strategy and the production of research information for the Research Excellence Framework.
Lee also supports Professor Nick Talbot, in his role as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for RKT, with the RKT Investment, and acts as deputy to Sean Fielding, Director of RKT.
Profile
Before joining RKT in 2010 Lee was School Manager in the School of Engineering, Mathematics, and Physical Sciences. Before that, he ran X-AT, an industrially-focused research group specialising in translational research. His particular area of expertise is in process management and optimisation, and systems development.
