Knowledge Exchange Manager - Environment and Sustainability Institute

Role

Leo is part of the Environment and Sustainability Institute’s Knowledge Exchange team and works to build strong relations with enterprise.
The aim is to identify opportunities for collaborative research in the ESI’s three themes related to environmental change:

  • The Natural Environment
  • Clean Technologies
  • Social Science and Sustainability

Leo is responsible for delivering the “business assist”, economic growth and job creation targets set against the ESI by its funders including the ERDF Convergence partnership, and for securing and managing partnerships with stakeholders, public sector and other Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC) academic institutions which support the ESI’s objectives.

Profile

Leo has worked in technology management , renewable energy and “clean technology” roles throughout his career. His experience includes asset management of a portfolio of wind farms for a global renewable energy consultancy; enterprise development for Strathclyde University and work with wave & tidal energy developers as part of the PRIMaRE research initiative.
