Knowledge Exchange Manager - Environment and Sustainability Institute
Role
Louise's role is to build relationships between stakeholders and businesses, in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and the University’s Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI). The aim is to identify opportunities for collaborative research in the ESI’s three themes related to environmental change:
- The Natural Environment
- Clean Technologies
- Social Science and Sustainability
Louise is responsible for delivering the “business assist”, economic growth and job creation targets set against the ESI by its funders including the ERDF Convergence partnership, and for securing and managing partnerships with stakeholders, public sector and other Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC) academic institutions which support the ESI’s objectives.
Profile
Louise is an experienced manager who has held senior roles in financial services, local government and the third sector. She has a broad skill set in business, including strategic planning, operations and project management. She has assisted many organisations, particularly in start up phases or during development projects.
