Role
Mark is involved in launching, assembling, developing and supporting high-potential regional businesses, primarily but not exclusively in eco-commercial sectors.
He operates as a high-intervention non-executive director or advisor, and playing an active role in all aspects of the business being supported, including raising funding, finding commercial partners, creating scripts and strategies, business plans, team building etc.
Mark manages a large portfolio of early stage companies.
Profile
Mark is an engineer and physicist by background – Imperial College and City University - with an industrial background, followed by a technology venture capital career.
He has industrial experience includes British Aerospace/Westinghouse (US), Xerox Corp, and the Kaye Organisation (Lansing Bagnall etc). His venture background includes Prudential Corporation (Prutec), Charterhouse Ventures/Advent, ANZ, IUNP, Hevelius Management, representing a mixture of VC funds and investment companies.
Mark has specialised in the commercialisation of new technologies and market sectors, in international venture capital and the raising of funds for the VC sector and for individual businesses as well as engineering exits for investors / shareholders.
