Role
Nela is a Research and Development Manager with responsibility for the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
This involves supporting and facilitating research applications, particularly those which are inter-disciplinary and / or involve multiple partners.
Nela is also involved in University strategic initiatives and provides support for the following Humanities and Social Sciences Strategy themes: Identities and Beliefs and Medical Humanities.
Profile
Nela joined the University in 2000 as an MBA student.
Prior to that she obtained a degree in Economics at the University of Belgrade.
Soon after completing the MBA she joined the School of Performance Arts as their first School Administrator.
During five years in this post she actively supported Head of School and School academics achieving ambitious expansion plans.
In 2007 Nela took a role of Research Manager in the newly formed School of Arts, Languages and Literatures (SALL).
In 2010 Nela joined the College of Humanities as Research Manager where she worked with academics in seven Humanities disciplines to develop successful grant applications to a number of funding bodies.
