Role

Sarah is the first point of contact for the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences for EU research funding opportunities. She also supports EU research applications from any College that require industry involvement.

This involves dissemination of EU funding opportunities and training across the University, contributing and advising on the preparation of EU research funding proposals, including budget preparation and ensuring compliance with legal, financial and administrative aspects of the specific call type.  

For successful funding applications, Sarah also negotiates the contract with the European Commission and provides ongoing advice to grant holders on their EU projects.

Profile

Sarah joined the University in July 2011. Previous roles include supporting local government and other partners to access European and UK funding for regeneration projects in the East Midlands.
