Research Systems Project Manager

Role

Steve is responsible for the implementation of the research systems strategy, with the principle aim of creating an IT systems infrastructure that will effectively support existing research across the University and facilitate planned growth in research income, quality and knowledge transfer.

Working closely with Lee Bridger, Deputy Director of Research and Knowledge Transfer, Steve is leading on the definition of user requirements and managing system development, integration and adoption.

Profile

Before joining the University in 2011, Steve lead IT systems development in the NHS as Head of Informatics for a large hospital Trust.

Before this, he worked as a low-temperature Physicist in both health and space industries. He has a particular interest in the commercialisation of novel concepts.
