Business Development Officer

Role

Tom works in the Commercial Development Team, working on contract research and consultancy. This involves supporting academics and colleges with the development and management of research and consultancy projects with business and government to ensure the effective collaboration of organisations and academics.

Profile

Tom joined the University in November 2011 initially working as Disclosure Research Assistant for the Commercial Engagement Team, before becoming a Business Development Officer in October 2012. Prior to this he worked for an Exeter-based commercial life sciences company, developing innovative tools for medical research purposes.

Tom has an MPhys in Theoretical Physics from the University of Exeter.
