Research Excellence Framework

The Research Excellence Framework (REF) has replaced the RAE as method of assessing ouptuts by researchers.

Research monitoring

The University monitors research for quality amongst research-active staff.

Publication databases

Symplectic

The University has a research publications management system (Symplectic) which each academic is required to record their publications on. this provides key data for the REF and other Research Monitoring. The Exeter Research and Institutional Content archive (ERIC)

ERIC is a set of services provided by the Collections and Research Support Division (Academic Services) to the University members for the management, preservation and dissemination of their digital research output and data sets. It is an online, Open Access collection which includes articles, conference papers, book chapters, reports and associated data. Find out more and access the database on the ERIC website.
