Gaynor is the first point of contact for the College of Social Sciences and International Studies and the University of Exeter Medical School for EU research funding opportunities.

For successful funding applications, Gaynor also negotiates the contract with the European Commission and provides ongoing advice to grant holders on their EU projects.

Gaynor joined the University in February 2011. Previous roles include supporting and advising academics on European funding at a Welsh University and working as an External Funding Officer and project manager in local government in Devon. Gaynor holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
