Overview
I am the Project Co-ordinator for Professor James Mark’s Leverhulme Trust funded research project, “1989 after 1989: Rethinking the Fall of State Socialism in Global Perspective” and his AHRC-funded "Socialism Goes Global" in the Department of History.
Based in Research Services, my main role is to provide administrative support for the project and the project’s academic research group. This involves collaborating with internal and external partners, managing the project budget, organising project-related activities such as conferences and workshops and setting up and maintaining the project website and social media accounts.
Qualifications
I have a particular interest in digital humanities and, more specifically, the application of new technologies to the heritage industry. I have a BA in Archaeology and Information Technology (Exeter, 2000) and an MA in Museum Studies (Leicester, 2005). I have previously worked for the National Trust and various museums and archives as well as managing the Exeter University based Dartmoor Archive project (2002 – 2006).
