Anna supports academics on the Cornwall campus with the development of research grant applications. This includes advising on the fit of research to particular funding calls, providing feedback on applications, costings and submission of applications to funders.
Prior to joining the University of Exeter in May 2016 Anna worked in a similar role at the University of Reading supporting academics in the Faculty of Science. Previous positions include time at BBSRC managing the peer review process for managed mode funding calls and a secondment to BIS (now BEIS) working in the ESRC sponsor team and supporting policy work for Open Access and Open Research Data. Anna was awarded her PhD in marine phytoplankton biochemistry from the University of Southampton in 2012.
