Belinda is based in the IIB team on the Penryn Campus in Cornwall. She supports the knowledge exchange team that identifies, develops and delivers collaborative research projects with key stakeholders, business partners and FE/HE partners, with an emphasis on EU ESIF and RCUK funding opportunities.
Belinda also supports EU, ESF and ERDF funded projects that are managed by the Head of Business Development in Cornwall.
Since graduating in Business and Finance, Belinda has had a full and varied career, primarily within the higher education sector, as an administrator in both support and managerial roles.
Previous employers include Barts and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry (Queen Mary University of London), London South Bank University, University of Surrey, Surrey Police and Hardenhuish School.
Belinda joined the University of Exeter in September 2012 as the administrative assistant to the Research and Knowledge Transfer (RKT) team based on the Penryn Campus in Cornwall. This was a varied role that encompassed being PA to the Head of RKT Operations (Cornwall) and the Head of Strategic Economic Development in Cornwall, supporting the business engagement activities of Knowledge Exchange Managers and ensuring the smooth running of the office.
Belinda progressed to the role of Project Officer providing administrative support to three EU funded projects on the Penryn Campus - ESI, ESF CUC Research Programme and SERFS. In this recording, monitoring and reporting role, Belinda’s primary responsibility was the preparation of output data and evidence for ERDF claims, MI participant data submissions and drafting quarterly progress reports.
