Research Development Manager - EU/International
Gaynor provides support to academics applying for EU research grants, particularly Horizon 2020 but also the Research Fund for Coal and Steel, Interreg, IMI2 and other schemes. This includes advising on the fit of research to particular funding calls, costings, providing feedback on applications, submission of applications to funders, negotiation of contracts and other agreements and amendments when the project has been funded.
She is the lead EU/International Research Development Manager for academics in the College of Social Sciences & International Studies and the Medical School, but can support academics across all colleges and campuses.
Gaynor has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Law Degree (LLB)
Gaynor has worked at the University of Exeter since 2010 in her current role. Before that she worked at Aberystwyth University supporting academics with European funding applications. She has also spent 12 years at a local authority in Devon supporting the development of applications and implementation of economic and community projects funded through Europe and other national funding programmes.
