Overview

Heather Makin has been at the University of Exeter Business School since 2006 as PA to Professor Gareth Shaw.  In this role she supports Professor Shaw and assists with a wide range of research projects and applications including; ESRC, AHRC, Leverhulme, H20:20 Erasmus+, EU ETN and TWNN. 

Since 2012 she has also been the Project Administrator for COST Action IS1204 an EU project on Tourism, Wellbeing and Ecosystem Services - TObeWELL.  Heather liaises with the members of the Action which consists of Academics and Stakeholders from over 30 EU Countries.  As Project Administrator she attends meetings across the EU network and facilitates Meetings, Working Groups along with Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) for Early Career investigators and also the annual Training School.
