Overview
Role
Sian is the Impact and Partnership Development Officer - Environment in the Environment, Food Security and Sustainability theme within Innovation, Impact and Business. Sian leads on the Environement's subtheme Animal Welfare, whilst supporting activities across the wider theme.
Her primary role is to work with academics and the impact that stems from their innovative research. She supports impact-related activities across the Environement theme by assisting in the translation of research, working closely with the commercial team, liaising with stakeholders, and supporting research and industry partnerships.
Background
Sian graduated from the University of Exeter in December 2016 as a Master of Anthrozoology with Distinction and the Dean’s Commendation, following a first degree in Anthropology from Oxford Brookes University. She has experience of working in a variety roles, including event management and working in mental health. Throughout her MA, Sian undertook several national and international projects focusing on animal welfare and conservation.
