Keynote speaker announced for Social Mobility Conference

Dr Lee Elliot Major, Chief Executive of the Sutton Trust, has been confirmed as the key note speaker at our inaugural Centre for Social Mobility conference on June 12.

The Trust is the UK’s leading foundation improving social mobility through education. There will also be presentations from students, academics and practitioners on topics such as why social mobility matters, building a whole institution approach, evidence-based practice and challenges for universities.

You can book your place now for the event which will feature interactive information sessions and workshops with professional service staff, academics and students as speakers and facilitators.

We are also inviting academic staff and students to submit A1 posters with a 300 word abstracts on research work they have carried out on social mobility with a prize for the best entry. You can contact Anna Mountford-Zimdars for further information. The deadline for submissions is June 1.
