Project Delivery

The Strategic Change Team has involvement in the management and delivery of a number of projects across all three University campuses, from small projects that are completed within a few weeks, to higher profile projects such as the Forum Project and Business Intelligence (BI) Project that span a number of years.

The different types of projects that we manage and deliver includes the introduction of new IT systems, making improvements to existing systems and capital build projects.

If you would like to start your own project, we also offer project management training courses, a toolkit of useful documents to use throughout the various stages of your project and a tailored coaching service. FM System A project to procure and implement a single Facilities Management (FM) system that supports the business activities of both Campus Services (‘CaS’) and Estate Development Services (‘EDS’).
Grand Challenges A programme designed to provide all first year students with an exciting educational and social experience at the end of the academic year.
Student Information Desk in Colleges Continuing from the successful launch of the Student Information Desk (SID) in the Forum Student Services Centre we are now looking to deliver the system behind it, SID online, to our Colleges to help manage College enquiries, enable more seamless enquiry management from a student's perspective and keep personal tutor notes.
Invoice Process Automation (IPA) This project will implement a new centralised approach to invoice processing.
LEAN Exeter A programme to demonstrate whether Lean process design techniques can be successfully applied within the University to our cross university processes.
My PGR This is a two phase project running over two years to develop an online system for the monitoring and management of postgraduate research students.
UKBA PBS Tier 4 Attendance Monitoring To provide a model for visual checking activity and associated system, organisation and resource implications, responsibilities and any risks and ensuring revision of policy, processes and procedure documents to reflect agreed changes.
Workload Planner The Workload Planner project will roll out a University-wide system to increase the availability and consistency of workload data for academics.
