Startegic Planning and Change win Gold!

Strategic Planning

Green impact

This is the first year the Strategic Planning and Change team have worked together in taking part in an exciting University wide initiative, aimed at greening work practices, called Green Impact. For the past two years the Strategic Planning team have worked alongside the Executive Suite and achieved the Silver award in 2009/10 and 2010/11. In 2011/12 we have incorporated our Greening practices to include our Change team department and completed the workbook for both our office locations in Northcote House and the Laver Building.

There are 22 departments across the Universities that took part in this years 2011/12 awards and the Strategic Planning and Change team are delighted to confirm that they received the coveted GOLD award this year. We also won the Innovation Award for the second year in a row. We won the award for our ‘Hen Pot’ which was a scheme put in place by the Change team to collect all waste food items and keep them in the fridge to feed Chris Austin’s hens. They in turn then received eggs in the office for all their hard work.

This is also the first year we have had a larger amount of the team contribute to Green Impact. While Kate Doyle and Steph Sanders headed up the team, they were joined by Anne-Marie Baker, Fiona Kugele,  Grace Simpson, Iain Springate and Paul Ruddock who all helped the team achieve Gold.

We want to say a big thank you to all of the team for all their work in supporting this project and we hope that by achieving Gold we will encourage our team to be Greener, not only in work but also in their home life.
