University Mission Groups
A majority of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) within the UK are aligned to various so called ‘mission groups’. There are currently four different mission groups exclusive to the UK HEI sector. The groups were formed on the basis of common interests, particularly towards research and education provision, as well as commonality with an overall mission and HEI locality.
