How to order a car

Process

Employee checks that they are eligible for the scheme

Employee obtains estimated quote from Car Scheme website

Employee telephones or emails ALD for confirmed quote

ALD emails quotes to employee

Employee uses salary exchange calculator to work out the gross monthly salary exchange figure

Employee confirms the car chosen to ALD by telephone or email

ALD emails Acceptance of Quote to employee (with a copy to HR)

Employee completes Acceptance of Quote

Employee sends hard copies of Acceptance of Quote to HR (Emma Hilton) with copy of quote, signed Appendix 2, Drivers' History form and copy of driving licence(s).

HR checks employee’s eligibility

If approved HR completes final section of Acceptance of quote and copies and scans it to ALD.

Upon receipt of Acceptance of Quote signed by HR, ALD places order with the manufacturer.

ALD contacts employee within 5 days to give estimated delivery date.

If not approved HR will contact employee to explain which criteria they do not meet and discuss any alternatives if there are any.
