Kate Groome and Karen Gallagher, part of the Campus Living Laboratory team
Outstanding Contribution to the Community/Environment
The Outstanding Contribution to the Community/Environment award recognises individuals and teams who have made a substantial contribution to improving the environment, sustaining our campuses and building stronger links with the wider community.
From Campus Services, the ‘Campus living laboratory’ team. Karen Gallagher, Kate Groome and Kevin Farmer work in Estate Development Services, they have provided students with a range of opportunities to use the campus as a living laboratory for projects related to sustainability. This has enabled students to gain invaluable practical experience which has not only enriched their student experience and learning but has enhanced their employability.
