Outstanding Innovation/Project of the Year

The Outstanding Innovation/Project of the Year Award recognises individuals and teams who have been involved in innovation, change, or a project that has been successfully implemented and has had a significant impact on the University or individual Service. This year’s finalists all worked across functional boundaries and made significant improvements to systems to create new opportunities for both staff and students.

From Human Resources and Academic Services the E-SR1 team. The University is growing its staff numbers which means that having effective systems to recruit the best both locally and internationally is critical. Richard Autherson and Lizzy Wright, supported by Andrew Johnson, working on a cross-departmental basis, came up with a workable solution for an on-line system. By end of this year, the on line system will have saved at least 15,210 sheets of paper and the circulation of 1,200 internal mail envelopes.
