Paul Grogan, Academic Services
Outstanding Value for Money
The Outstanding Value for Money Award award recognises individuals and teams who have achieved outstanding value for money by creating efficiencies that can be emulated across the University, leading to either substantial savings or to an enhanced service. The finalists had achieved this by applying their professional knowledge and understanding together with a great deal of determination to get the best value out of the services required by the University.
From Academic Services, Paul Grogan. As a direct result of Paul's efforts the monthly cost of third party maintenance has fallen, resulting in a saving of approximately £62,000 per year. In addition he recommended to his manager the removal of a redundant software product which has resulted in a further annual saving to the University of £70,000 per year.
