Teaching Awards 2012
The third annual Student’s Guild Teaching Awards ceremony took place in the Great Hall on Thursday 3 May 2012, and was attended by an audience of over 220 students, staff and nominees. Over 2,021 nominations were submitted for 588 members of staff.
The Teaching Awards are an entirely student-driven initiative, and affirm our continuing excellence in this area. We’re currently ranked 4th in the UK for teaching in the National Student Survey (NSS), and we’ve consistently been ranked very highly for our teaching since the NSS began.
The evening also saw the University’s outgoing Chair of Council, Russell Seal, honoured with a Special Recognition Award for his admirable hard work and ambition in driving the University forward in recent years.
