How can you develop your career at the University?
Career development
Career development framework
Development opportunities for Professional Services staff have been organised into a career development framework to help you see what is the right development for you at different stages of your career. The framework is only indicative but gives you an instant summary of the sort of opportunities that might be appropriate depending on your job and your experience in the University. There are four parts to the framework:
- Induction and mandatory development
- Initial Professional Development
- Continuing Personal and Professional Development
- Planning for retirement
There are additional development opportunities for managers.

Please see our Mandatory training web page for details of mandatory training for all staff.
