Brokerages
Council for Volunteering Services, Exeter (Exeter CVS)
Once you’ve decided what is in your team’s areas of interest, Exeter Council for Volunteering Service ( Exeter CVS) can offer you a brokerage service through their Time & Talents Network, with a potential partner organisation. Be prepared for questions about who, where, when, why and they’ll signpost you to the ‘what’ and ‘how’. If your proposed Community Challenge is with children and/or vulnerable adults they will even ensure your event is supervised by a CRB checked person from the partner organisation. Exeter CVS Time & Talent Network ensures both parties have insurance, are risk assessed and that volunteers are properly equipped and briefed for the event and will provide a single person as a point of contact for the Community Challenge.
There is a fee for successful brokerages which covers support in preparation and on the day.

Volunteer Cornwall
Once you’ve decided what is in your team’s areas of interest, Volunteer Cornwall can offer you a brokerage service with a potential partner organisation; be prepared for questions about who, where, when, why and they’ll signpost you to the ‘what’ and ‘how’. They have a form to guide you, which you complete before contacting them. This is available from Claire Lambert. If your proposed Community Challenge is with children and/or vulnerable adults they will even ensure your event is supervised by a CRB checked person from the partner organisation. Volunteer Cornwall ensures both parties have insurance, are risk assessed and that volunteers are properly equipped and briefed for the event. The chosen organisation will provide a single person as a point of contact for the Community Challenge, although, like your own team, there may also be others involved.
