About this course:

This is a short, practical, interactive workshop for you to explore the role of a mentor and practice the skills necessary to mentor successfully.

You will examine the skills, behaviours and values essential to become an effective mentor.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Describe the role of a mentor and how it differs from a coach or manager.

- Establish positive ways of working and create appropriate boundaries.

- Employ models of mentoring and coaching to create an effective relationship.

- Use the key skills of listening, questioning and evaluation.

Who should attend this course:

Suitable for first time mentors, or those with more experience who would like to refresh or enhance their skills and develop a unique mentoring style.
