About this course:

If you do not deliver training on a regular basis yet need to train/brief colleagues/students once in a while, this course will help you think through what is important and structure the event for maximum impact.

Planning and preparation are key! The ability to present your material effectively is critical too given there is usually only one chance to get it right, but the application of a few simple tools and techniques can help ensure this happens.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS COURSE IS DELIVERED VIA 2 WORKSHOPS WHICH ARE SCHEDULED 2 WEEKS APART.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK ONTO THE COURSE UNLESS YOU CAN ATTEND BOTH SESSIONS.

As a result of attending this course, delegates will be able to:.

Workshop a:.

- Identify the key objectives that need to be achieved by your training session, and ensure every learning activity is captured in order to achieve the objectives.

- Apply a range of robust techniques to ensure that the design and structure of the session delivers the learning objectives.

- Integrate a range of learning activities and delivery methods to ensure that the event has the maximum learning effect for the delegates.

- Design appropriate learning materials to support the session, including effective use of visual aids, PowerPoint and handouts.

Workshop b:.

- Demonstrate a range of best practice delivery skills that will improve the effectiveness of their training sessions.

- Explain how to handle common challenges, such as timing issues and difficult participants.

- Deliver a short training session that will apply the range of techniques learnt and provide an opportunity for reflection, feedback and further development.

Who should attend this course:

This course is designed for Professional Service Staff who deliver training sessions only on an occasional or ad-hoc basis.
