About this course:

Part of the ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management, this workshop is designed to give you a firm foundation in the skills and understanding needed to manage others.

This workshop explores the nature of problems, how to identify their solutions and make decisions about taking action.

Completion of this workshop gives you sufficient learning to undertake a written assessment towards the ILM Level 3 Award.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Describe a problem, its nature, scope and impact.

- Gather and interpret information and prepare a summary of the options, providing facts and evidence.

- Apply a simple decision-making technique to evaluate options to arrive at the best solution.

- Plan the implementation and communication of the decision.

- Describe which monitoring and review techniques could be used to evaluate outcomes.

Who should attend this course:

All staff who lead or supervise a team, typically with 1-3 years of experience.

Delegates may have had some, little or no previous management development.
