About this course:

Part of the ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management, this workshop is designed to give you a firm foundation in the skills and understanding needed to manage others.

This workshop explores the skills required to develop and maintain relationships, whilst meeting the needs and expectations of others.

Completion of this workshop gives you sufficient learning to undertake a written assessment towards the ILM Level 3 Award.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Identify and examine the needs and/or expectations of customers, colleagues and stakeholders in the workplace.

- Explain the importance of knowing what customers, colleagues and stakeholders in the workplace require.

- Determine ways of meeting the needs and/or expectations of customers, colleagues and stakeholders in the workplace within organisational constraints.

- Explain ways for checking that the needs and/or expectations of others have been met.

- Describe ways of dealing with difficult situations where it is not possible to meet the needs and/or expectations of others within organisational guidelines and constraints.

Who should attend this course:

All staff who manage other people, typically with 1-3 years of experience.

Delegates may have had some, little or no previous management development.
