About this course:

Part of the ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership & Management, this workshop is designed to give you a firm foundation in the skills and understanding needed to lead others.

This workshop explores the skills required to become an effective leader of people.

Completion of this workshop gives you sufficient learning to undertake a written assessment towards the ILM Level 5 Award.

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING, YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND BOTH OF THE DATES (IT IS A TWO PART MODULE).

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Describe a range of leadership theories and how they relate to your role and organisation.

- Explain the role that emotional intelligence plays in leadership.

- Recall some techniques for effectively communicating a vision and describe the importance of doing so.

- Develop strategies for delegating responsibilities and empowering team members.

Who should attend this course:

All staff who lead other people, in a role featuring some strategic, rather than solely operational work.
