About this course:

Research England (formerly HEFCE) and the research councils use a common definition of impact: "The demonstrable contribution that excellent research makes to society and the economy." In this workshop we will explore:.

- What really is and counts as 'impact'? - Why is impact important? - How you can plan for and develop your research's impact, including the professional and financial support available to help.

The IIB Essentials Series is also an informal opportunity to meet members of the Innovation, Impact and Business Team to discuss how they can support you, with a drop-in space including teas and coffee accompanying each session in the Forum, Seminar Room 2.

Who should attend this course:

All Academic and Professional Staff who want to generate new funding and research opportunities by working with businesses and other organisations.
