About this course:

This course covers the tasks involved leading up to the assessment, progression and award committees (APACs) that take place in the reassessment exam period for all students, as well as the tasks that take place afterwards.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Enter reassessment component marks, calculate module results and understand module results records.

- Determine student progression decisions and how to reflect them on the student record.

- Determine what award the student is eligible for and how to reflect this on the student record.

- Award students and deal with those who are not eligible for an award.

- Identify and deal with students who have non-standard progression decisions.

- Produce reports for the APAC.

- Modify student results and cancel reassessment records.

Who should attend this course:

This course is only available to those staff who require SITS access as part of their job role.

This course is meant for education administrators that have some prior experience with the process, as a more of a refresher.

If you are new to progression and awarding processes during the reassessment period, it is recommended that you attend 2 separate sessions:.

1- SITS: Reassessment exam board processes for non-finalists (progression).

2- SITS: Reassessment exam board processes for finalists (awarding).

Before the course:

Participants must have attended Introduction to SITS.

It is recommended that participants have already completed the Mark Entry and Exam/Award Board sessions.
