About this course:

This workshop introduces managers to the legal framework for safety, health and the environment; showing you how to develop assurance systems in your areas of responsibility and how to maintain management in your area.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will:.

- Outline key legal and other requirements relating to the University (environment).

- Be able to confidently identify hazards.

- Be able to assess risk and self-assess your work area to provide assurance that all necessary safety and environment provisions are in place, according to the needs of the department.

- Be able to collate evidence to monitor and demonstrate this assurance.

- Understand your managerial role in safety, health and environmental management at the University.

Who should attend this course:

University Managers with responsibility for the Health, Safety and Environmental management of staff or a service.
