About this course:

The aim of this session is to ensure that those staff with a role in emergency pollution response are able to respond effectively and correctly to pollution incidents (non labs).

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- List the reasons for preventing pollution and ensuring we have an emergency spill response process in place.

- List and follow relevant UoE procedures.

- Describe the different types of spill response equipment, how these can be used and where they are located at UoE.

- Explain the 8 point response plan and how to implement it including when and how to contact external specialist services.

- Report an incident and complete the incident response form.

Who should attend this course:

This course is essential to role for all Campus Service staff who have a role in emergency pollution response.
