Programmes without Qualifications

These programmes will connect you to a cohort of fellow learners (e.g. aspiring managers, middle managers) and give you the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills through a series of topical workshops and learning activities without undertaking any assessments

We also offer programmes that lead to a qualification.

  • These programmes are open to all staff groups (professional services and academic).
  • All programmes have been specifically designed for practising supervisors/managers (or aspiring managers in the case of the AMP programme).
  • Where it is stated that delegates should already be in a people management role, this is to ensure that they have relevant experience to draw upon and sufficient opportunity to apply learning.
  • The programmes are designed to be stand-alone i.e., you do not need to have completed any other specific learning in order to take part in these programmes.

Time Commitment

  • These are comprehensive programmes, delegates should be aware that they are required to attend all sessions and complete all learning activities. Guidance is given on the specify programme pages below.

Applying for a place

Staff who currently manage/supervise staff (or aspire to do so in the case of the AMP programme) and meet the eligibility criteria are invited to submit a nomination form (supported by their line manager) to be considered for a place on these programmes.

Some programmes will incur a cost to the department.

Delegates complete work-based learning activities, in order to reinforce their learning and demonstrate understanding and development. However, there are no formally assessed elements within the programmes.
