How to apply for the AMP

The current Aspirational Managers Programme (2012/13) is now full but applications for the next cohort will be accepted throughout the year.

The programme is run once a year beginning in April.

The form

All candidates can submit the AMP application form to the Programme Co-ordinator (Clive Betts) at any time, for enrolment on the next available course. The programme is run once a year beginning in April. The sections on the form are self-explanatory but you should take some time to make sure your application is clear, relevant and sincere (also see the 'selection criteria' below).

There is a registration fee of £85 payable at the time of registration for the ILM Award.

Selection process

There will be a maximum of 10 staff enrolled on each programme at any one time.

Selection criteria

The selection criteria are judged by the Programme Co-ordinator:

  • Quality of application (all sections of form). This will examine the your sincerity to commit to the programme, your ability to reason well and your ability to think about what impact the programme will have for you.
  • Line manager supporting statement. This will examine the commitment of your line manager to the arrangement.

Acceptance and rejection

All candidates will be informed by as to the outcome of the selection process. Unsuccessful candidates will be provided with feedback on the reasons for their rejection.
