Dealing with change
Feelings related to change – a natural cycle
Change usually makes people unsettled ie emotions are usually involved. A useful description of the emotions people feel during change is described in the article 'the change curve'.
Key points to remember
- How long a person remains in a particular emotional state will vary and depends on circumstances.
- Going through these emotions is a natural way of learning to adapt and should not be ‘short circuited’ or be seen negatively.
