Relationship of Management standards to Competencies and University Core Values
The competencies are a set of behaviours which underpin what is expected of Managers, in effect describing how managers can meet the expectations of the management standards. A number of competencies will be required at the same time to meet any one of the statements and will vary according to the context.
The University Core Values can be regarded as the foundation of the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours expected of all staff in the University.
