Who is it for?
Academic staff who manage or are responsible for other staff.
What is it about?
This session will help you as an academic at the University to understand
- Research funding body criteria related to Equality and Diversity
- Equality and Diversity legislative requirements related to student adminssions and access to the curriculum
You will also receive an update on Athena Swann accreditation.
What will I get out of it?
You will have a better understanding of your responsibilities for Equality & Diversity in relation to research and education and what policies, procedures and practices are in place to ensure the University complies with primary legislation.
Methodology for the workshop
- Input - sector and institutional data
- Group work - to share good practice and identify further actions for discipline
- Opportunity - for group to discuss and feed back on Athena Swan project
