Over the past year we have been reviewing and refreshing our training and development provision with invaluable input from many delegates and stakeholders about the changing nature of the University. The result is a new portfolio of courses and events called ‘Personal Effectiveness’ (PE) to create the building blocks to sustain and develop our highly professional, globally-equipped workforce. We will be adding new learning opportunities to the portfolio year-on-year as needs change and grow.
PE incorporates familiar themes of Interpersonal Skills; Technical/Admin/Finance; Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity; Wellbeing, Environment.
The PE portfolio also underpins the emerging career development frameworks for our Professions, including sessions on “Taking control of your career” with top tips and career guidance.
We will also be seeking opportunities to build peer networks with our delegates, and beyond. This will be achieved through Action Learning sets, mentoring initiatives and other activities that will develop over time as part of, and alongside, the Personal Effectiveness portfolio.
