There are various development opportunities and support provided by the University. It is recommended that you review your needs and engage with some of these to enhance your knowledge, skills and network.
Information for staff who research
Research is an important target for the University. There is a variety of support across the University which you may find helpful.
Within Academic Colleges
- Various personnel reside in the Colleges to assist with specific research information. Your area should be able to clarify who can help and how.
Within Professional Services
- Research Toolkit - Funding sources, guidelines and support; collaborating with partners; and demonstrating impact
- Library resources for researchers - there are dedicated subject specialists who can help you maximise the use of the library
- Learning and Development - various courses from all internal providers covering research specific topics, such as supervision, through to more general development. There are also generic management courses open to you alongside further information on leading research staff
- Researcher Development Programme - for staff in the Research Fellow job family.
