PCAP module 2: creating effective learning in higher education
This module aims to enable anyone who teaches and/or supports students’ learning, within a higher education context, to improve their professional practice through structured dialogue with their peers and colleagues in the sector. It is designed to develop supportive communities of practice amongst academics and professional staff in Higher Education. Peer dialogue for practice development adopts a scholarly process of collaborative enquiry: participants will engage in structured, creative dialogue with relevant academic and professional peers in HE, in order actively to develop one or more aspects of their practice. Through exploration of relevant education theory, recent developments in HE and University policy, participants will also locate and evaluate their practice within current institutional, political and social contexts.
