Human Resources
Human Resources (HR) is one of the University’s Professional Services teams at the University. We provide a range of advisory and support services to staff within the Colleges and Professional Services; principal services we provide are featured below. Advisory and admin services

Provision of advice and support on full range of HR issues, including staffing planning; restructuring; individual employment matters; maternity/paternity; performance; recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
Employment policy and reward

Development and administration of University’s employment and reward policy and practice; provision of management information; operation and development of the University’s Trent HR system.
Payroll and pensions offices

Including day to day administration and provision of advice to employees on payroll and pensions matters.
Occupational Health

Provision of support for individual staff and advice to managers on staff welfare and health-related matters.
Learning and development

Co-ordination of learning and development support and activities for staff, and provision of advice to managers.
Health and safety

Provision of advice and guidance to managers on health and safety matters, including statutory and compliance issues.
