Project aims and objectives
A feasibility study was conducted in early 2009 to determine the benefits of implementing electronic document management for supplier invoices across the University. Although approved, no funding was identified. A paper was therefore submitted to the Creating Value Group, who again approved the proposal subject to Finance Services providing the funding. A study was carried out to determine whether a business case could still be made if the scope was limited to supplier invoices within Corporate Services. Having accepted the conclusions, the Director of Finance & Corporate Services agreed to fund the pilot.
The tender was issued under EU regulations on 30th April. It was published in our In-Tend system and also in the OJEU. As at 14 May, 80 expressions of interest have been received.
